Hope City Enterprise
Hope City Enterprise is the charity of the Megacentre. Since 2005 our purpose has been to help disadvantaged people from all backgrounds release the fullness of their potential through educational, social, financial and practical assistance, furthering their ability to positively contribute to the world around them.
Current Provision
Based in Sheffield, we have an excellent track record of providing the following services to the community.
City Hearts
City Hearts is a residential facility for young women with life-controlling issues such as addiction, eating disorders, self-harming and unwanted pregnancies. Visit the City Hearts website.
Buzz Schools
Buzz Schools Teams provide self-esteem workshops, performing arts lessons and out of school clubs to over 80 primary and secondary schools in Sheffield. Each month Buzz Kids United and Buzz United attract over 250 children and young people at the Megacentre for fun, inspiration and lots of mess!
Storehouse
Storehouse provides short term urgent food distribution for people in crisis due to infirmity, disability, poverty or social circumstances.
Sheffield’s Night of Honour
Sheffield’s Night of Honour is an awards ceremony that celebrates the unsung heroes of the city therefore promoting community action and programmes making them a part of the city ethos. Visit Night of Honour’s website.
Hope Action Teams
Hope Action Teams provide short term practical assistance to inner city estates and for people unable to provide for themselves.
Hope Families
Hope Families, currently working across Leeds, brings hope to families with young children through encouraging good parenting skills, motivating them to make healthy lifestyle choices, addressing the basic educational needs of the family and helping them to break the poverty cycle.
