The Megacentre is a truly amazing place to be. There's never a dull moment when you are involved in such an incredible variety of things. We touch the lives of over 2500 people every week through our community and enterprise programmes making the Megacentre a busy place 7 days a week.
Some people know us as a conference venue, others as a children's play centre, but there's more to what we do and who we are than first meets the eye.
Even though we look like many other organisations on the face of it, we are very different underneath. The Megacentre is an initiative of Hope City Church, a contemporary christian church which meets every week at The Megacentre with over 1000 people attending its services.
Our ethos is based on christian values designed to add value to and bring hope to those we serve in whatever capacity. Whether we are serving a cuppa or providing space for a business meeting our aim is to leave every person feeling valued. We like to think of our visitors as friends rather than customers. We concentrate on building relationships not just selling products or services.
Much of our community work is funded directly by the church and our enterprises help to build the future by donating profits back into the work of the centre. Some of our projects are funded privately, through individuals and businesses. Others are funded through grants and in some cases government funds. But all our projects are staffed by people with a passion to make a positive difference on the culture, present and future of Sheffield.
